As an instrument maker and musician I am on a neverending, utopian quest for the ultimate instrument.

I personally strive for instruments/soundsculptures that are not only well-tuned, voiced, balanced, stable and that have a good reach, but which also have something extra. I am looking for that special vibe, their own unique voice.

If I discover during the making process that this elusive 'something extra' is not there, even though it would be quite a decent instrument I simply don't finish it. This means everyone, whether amateur or professional, will receive the same high quality instrument.

The best I can offer is my goal, every time. I don't compromise on that. This is who I am and what I stand for.
